Shedding issue

Hi everyone,

Our baby, Essther, just had her second shed in our care. Her first shed wasn't as smooth as I'd have liked - lots of bits that didn't come off with the shed which I blame on living in such a dry climate and not having provided a damp mossy hide as quickly as we could have. So this time she had the mossy hide well in advance of getting ready for a shed, and once we noticed the general dullness we started misting the tank.

Anyway, this morning we spotted her skin. Yay! I noticed the tail didn't seem to be entirely there, so I wanted to get her out right away and make sure her tale was safe. I also noticed some colour on one of the head scales, not black which we get a bit of all over, but some red, and on a location where it hadn't seemed to come off properly last time around. I was concerned about the tail, so I pulled her out right away, and her tail looked just fine (she must have got it off as a separate piece elsewhere), but when looking at her head, we saw a grey spot where the coloured scale had come off (see attachment).

It doesn't look like a wound, not wet or anything like that, just grey and slightly recessed relative to the surrounding scales. Any thoughts or advice would be warmly welcomed.

Thanks,
Ian.
