shedding? worried about my snake

I've had my baby corn for just over 3 months now.
We though he was about to shed as he seemed to be looking very faded, but he's not come out of his cave for 7 days now. I check on him now and again, but this morning, I took the lid of his cave and checked he was ok, but he wasn't happy and his tail was rattling away.
I left him alone for several days as that's what I was told to do. He seems to be getting some colour back, but he's not been in his water or left his cave - I have a loo-roll at the other end of the tank that he can go in, and normally it's moved about, so I know he's been out and about. it hasn't moved an inch for 5 or so days now.
I didn't feed him on friday when he was due as we thought he'd shed soon - but the point is, he hasn't shed yet, so should we assume that is what is happening and leave him alone until he does, OR assume there is a problem and go to the vet?

I would offer him a meal. My corn normally won't shed until she eats. once she eats she sheds within 48 hours. You should also boost the humidity about 10-15%.

Have you seen him go in the blue? If you haven't, there is also a possibility that you just missed t. It can easily take the snakes 7 or more days to shed. It took my amel. 7 days for its second shed. I have heard of it taking up to ten days. I think he should be fine. How is your humidity? If it is about 50%-60% then that should be fine for him to shed. Also, him rattling his tail is natural because since he can't see very well, he is more defensive. One other thing. What is a loo-roll???

Hi
Thanks for your replies.

I think I did miss the 'blue' stage, at the weekend he seemed paler than he does now. I've not seen his eyes really clouded up. I think that stage is passing.

I moved his water dish over the heat mat area to help create some humidity. I fully expected him to get in his water dish though! perhaps I'm being impatient, but it seems a long time.

I thought I read somewhere you shouldn't feed them at this time?
