How often does a corn snake usualy shed.

I am not sure of the age of the snake as the people we got it from could not tel me for sure, but it is about 1 meter long if that helps.

They told us that it had shed recently and we have only had it 2 weeks.

I picked it up today and it's color seemed a bit washed out, it's belly had sort of a white color to it with am almost pearlescent sheen (best way I can describe it).

Also it's eyes looked a bit hazy which I read is a sign of impending shedding.

so given that info should I be concerned or is it simply a case of thier idea of "recently" is a bit different to mine and he is in fact starting to "blue"?

Babies shed about once a month, and adults maybe every 3-4 months. It sounds like your snake is going blue. I just looked at a picture of your snake, which appears to be an adult, and he does look blue in that picture. Has he been hiding all the time, or is he out exploring?

mainly staying in his hide. he will come out in the evenening do a lap of his terrarium and then go back to his hide.

Yesterday though he just stayed in there all day.
