Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.
Anyone know if you need a special license to ship from Minnesota? I have 4 cornsnakes for sale, and someone in Houston is interested in them and really wants me to ship them to him.
i did look on there, but they didn't have anything about certifications, so im unsure. I know most states have different types of laws, i dont want to go breaking any laws.
If you look down in my personal forum, I have a post about packing snakes for shipping. That covers the regulations that are required for labeling the box, which is the only regulation you have to worry about.
Ship your reptiles is easy to use. Create an account then click on get a free quote put the info in. Remember to get the exact box measurements. It will calculate the price for you. Then if you want to ship finish the transaction and print out the shipping label and the door to door page. Then all you have to do is pack the snakes, tape the box with the shipping label on it and drop it off at fedex.
States often regulate which animals you can keep or sell, or how they are kept. But I have never heard of a state regulating how they are shipped, assuming the sale is legal (not selling protected or prohibited animals, etc). The Federal government has regulations for live animal shipments, details of which you should find out from Nanci's post.
