Should I feed it?

I got a new corn snake, and he seems pretty calm when I was first holding him at the store each each day for two days, but I don't want him to regurgitate, because he seems very nervous in the new house.

However, he was scheduled for feeding today, so that means he hasn't eaten for four days, and he is pretty young. I didn't know until later that he hadn't eaten recently, otherwise I would of let him had is meal then gotten him after a few days. He is bout six to eight months (born in september) and around two feet long.

So, I know I shouldn't handle him for at least a few days, but I don't want him to be hungry. Should I try in two days?

I got him today, by the way, and he was handled, so he is use to human contact as well as he can being the fact that it was a reptile store.

I'm a newb too, but here's the advice I've read on here very consistently: a few more days without food for a snake is nothing. It probably won't even notice. Better to wait a few days to make sure it's settled in to reduce possibilities of regurgitation.

Since you got him today, leave him completely alone for at least five days before you try to feed. Four days is not a long time. I have had hatchlings fresh from the egg go over a month before losing any weight, so you have nothing to worry about! :)

Okay, great! Thanks for the replies. I couldn't find anything on it in the books that I own, so I appreciate the advice.

I guess now I can officially label my new snake as a pet log in a tank.
