I still sketch some, scanned these to try to save them. Is sad the second one was ruined over the years.

Thanks for looking, guys!

Most of my art is digital and centers around making forum templates for the free forum host, Proboards. I also make signatures/avatars, desktop wallpapers and have a HUGE assortment of userbars. :) I used to draw things when I was young, but I haven't done any drawing for a long, long time. Anyway, here are some of my favorite works:

Some userbars

I currently have over 70 Proboards templates, and well over 200 userbars. I have my own graphics forum that I share my works on as well.

It has been many years since I have had the time to do any artwork, but I still have some literally hanging around from B.C. (before children). These are small (8"x10") pen and ink drawings. The first one is my actual first attempt using pen and ink. It was done before I was married while the others were done the next year after I was married. Now these are lousy photos of the work, taken inside at night with a flash under poor lighting conditions with the art still in their frames.

Here is my medium of choice, colored pencil with perhaps some pastels thrown in. I can only reach these 2 pieces tonight to photograph. I will need the ladder for the rest, and I'm not going to do that right now at this hour. Again, lousy lighting, still in the frames, etc, etc.

I did the barn owl for my then boyfriend, now hubby, back in 1991 and the osprey is actually the only artwork I did for myself, and it was the last full piece before "retiring" to have children. At the time these were done, I was working at Weeki Wachee Springs in the Birds of Prey show and the Exotic Bird show, so they were naturally my choice of subject. If I were to ever find the time to do more, I would now have corn snakes as my subject.

And lastly, of my way too long post, a (signed) portrait of Krayzie Bone of the group Bone Thugs N Harmony. Long story short, I shared this on his site, the administrator loved it and said that she could ask Krayzie to sign a copy if I e-mailed her the image... fast forward... had a friend going to see KB at a club so I shipped him out the original drawing (as well as a nice print for both Krayzie and my friend), and I not only ended up with a signed original, but I also got a personal thank you phone call from Krayzie Bone himself...

Really love looking at everyone else' works.

The thing I notice more and more (with a lot of artists I know) is them saying "I don't have the time to do artwork anymore"... I know some of you are probably very busy, but damn (pardon my french), make the time! Some of these are incredible, and I'm sure worth every second (and more) that was spent in the creative process to make them. No job can be so important to squelch ALL of your time for creating. Too much talent not to be used, and I really would love to see more.

Art is also something that can be left on to tell a story or show an image for well beyond the time our bodies will, and I think it's sad when people don't have the time to utilize such gifts. I've been quite busy lately as well, but I almost force myself to make time. My artwork schedule may not sound too appealing, but I'll squeeze in working on some of my artwork until 4am on some nights (even on only a few hours sleep) just to keep being creative as much as I can. It seems to cleanse my mind when I'm being creative, which I think has given me a little more focus in other areas of my life. And it's just rewarding to start something completely from scratch, and turn it into something that people can look at and appreciate.

Michael, I WILL be commissioning an Indigo Snake from you sometime when I have disposable income again!

Everyone is so talented!! Bob, I love that boxer, have you drawn Doofy at all?

Nanci, that white arab is spectacular!! How long did it take you?

Tavia, do you have an etsy shop or the equivalent?

Zombiesoxx, that last one is too cool! Do you draw furries?

Becca, I love the steampunk look of the firstforum template.

Susan, wow! The colored barn owl is my favorite, his expression is so true to life!

Some very talented folks here. I am certainly not one of them. I can draw a mean stick figure though. lol Thanks for sharing.

Same for me as alot here, it's been a long time since I sat and enjoying drawing. I lost just about all my work in Katrina, but was able to salvage these two. You can see the water stain on the bass picture from the water that got in the house.

I think I still have a pic of a Boa Constrictor I drew somewhere around here. I'll have to see if I can hunt it up.

Anyway, these were done with a combo of Lead & Charcoal pencils. I love working with charcoal, because it's easy to shade with.

Nope not yet, have to wait till I am really in the mood to capture all his true doofyness lol

I agree! Everyone is so talented! I'm always impressed by those who can draw so well, I don't even do a good stick figure, LOL!

I have a webs.com website, it's down in my sig. But I've never sold anything through it and haven't updated it in about a year. I really need to go though and update the whole thing. Problem is that I hate writing descriptions and I'm not very good at taking pictures. Can take me longer to get a decent picture of a piece than it takes to make it!
Used to sell at Farmer's Markets and Flea Markets around here but have taken the last two years off. Tried go back to the main Farmer's Market here this year, used to do very well there, but unfortunately my seniority expired while I was away. The farmers hate the crafters there and lobby to limit them, and the other jewelry makers hate competing, so gang up on the manager any time they let someone new in. Remembered what I really hate about the Markets! The politics!
I take custom orders if you see something I've made that you like and want something similar. All my necklaces automatically come with matching earrings unless you request that they not.

Ooooh art!

My favorite thing is mixed media sculpture.

This is a massive framed chalk board using old tractor parts and bones from a biology supply lab. (To give a size scale, those are real human arms.)
