So today I was watching my new snake drink and when he was done he made a little shudder and then what sounded like a sneeze... he made the noise several more times after that too.

Is this just how a snake sneezes?
 
Lol, yeah, snake's sneeze. When they drink they occasionally get it up their nose and sneeze repeatedly to expel it.
