Hello,

I got Mela on monday. She's approximately 2 months old and she has a lovely colour to her. I cannot take pictures at the moment though, such a shame.

She was active for the first few hours, very active and didn't go into her hide once. When I checked today though, she was in her hide and I haven't seen her out once. She's mostly in the coolest hide but has ventured to the warm side once or twice. I've also noticed her skin was a tad lighter yesterday

Is she preparing to shed?
 
She could be, but she could also just be settling in. My snakes will often hide for a week straight before shedding. Their colors will dull, eyes cloud over and belly scales are obviously longer. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the new little one!
