Silly Kitten

I have recently got a new kitten that is turning out to be a pain in the arse, one habit it has is sitting on top of my snake viv which is just something like this:

this morning i woke up to my hognose snake having a massive go at it as well as my male cornsnake approaching it like it was food. im not worried about them getting to the kitten as i know they cant, what im worried about is

1. can they catch anything from the kitten or get irritated by her fur
2. do you reckon it annoys them when she is on top looking down at them (besides the hognose as he is always pissy)

thanks for your help

I would worry most about her breaking the lid and the snake(s) escaping. Make sure the lid is cat-proof!

Actually, yours looks light enough that she could also just tip it over. Can you put it in a shelf somewhere so she can't get on top of it?

Invest in a spray bottle. Fill it with water. Keep it on hand and every time you see her where she shouldn't be (on the snake vivs, or whatever) send her running! The water won't hurt her, it'll just wound her little kitty pride. I've done this with all my cats and my dogs. They mind the sound of water... even a bottle of soda if I shake it they stop misbehaving immediately.

Curbing bad behavior now is key to her being a good cat later. The spray bottle is awesome. Good luck!
