I built this for my sons room, its a single tub for his amel. Took me about a day and a half with wiring and paint. Total cost including tub, heat pad, light, switches, lumber , and paint was about 35 bucks. All wires are run concealed either behind or under the box then run into a switch box and the extra is run out of the box and then out the side of the box I built and plugged into the wall. Pretty simple and I'm pleased with the way it turned out really nice and clean looking. Let me know what y'all think.

Thanks y'all, my temps are staying awesome too with a less than 2* flux in temp either up or down in the last couple weeks.

The dial (dimmer switch) is wired directly to the repti therm heating pad. Some call it the poor mans thermostat. I had my doubts about it working properly and actually regulating the temp consistantly. I've been proven wrong for a while now and sure don't mind that one bit.

im thinking of making something like this but with the dimmer on the front. what type of wood did you use

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Haven't been on in a few weeks.

I just used pine 2x2's and 1/4" ply wood. Nothing overly fancy or expensive in the least.
