size alright?

I got my amel corn for christmas of 05 and his aname is carmen. He was having alot of propblems and almost died. He had mouth rot, mites, he was as skinny as a tooth pick :eek1: and refused to eat every single time we tried and i really dont think he was getting any bigger. Now carmen is 10 months old, eating once a week every friday (2 fuzzies), temps are reg, and he is about 2 feet in length. Is that to small for a 10 month old amel? :shrugs: Thanks :wavey:

im not too sure on this, so dont kill me if im wrong, but i would guess this is ok? my snake is (i think) a year old and hes about 2 and a half foot, but maybe someone else has a different idea? i dunno...

I don't think that there is a "right size" for snakes. Each are different. And as you stated some have problems. So your OK. Also, now that your snake is eatting regularly, it might have a growth spurt.

Good Luck

Seems OK to me, especially since he has had problems before. My 8month old is just over 2ft, I would say yours is fine considering the state you got him in, you seem to have done a good job!

I'm also in agreement with Lyndy....considering the snakey had poor health to start with, I think you have done really well to get to where you are now, keep up the good work. :) Also as a comparison point, I once purchased some snakes from a breeder that were over a year old, but still weighed 20g and they were barely any longer than a regular 3 month old snakeling. Once they had settled with me they grew and fed very well, and are now over 4 foot in length!
