How much does she weigh? The 'rule of thumb' for breeding is 3 ft, 300 grams and 3 years old. What are you feeding her and how often?

5 feet for a 3 year old corn sounds like a exaggeration to say the least. corn snake growth dose vary from snake to snake, but i have a 3 year ol Amel and she is 40 inchs.

i dont know how much she weighs, or know how to get her weight. but i feed her 2 fuzzies every week

Fuzzies are proberly a little bit t small for a 3 year old corn snake. My three year olds are eating full grown mice once a week.

I don't power feed but my one year olds are eating sm. feeder mice or 2 hoppers. Anything over 2 years is eating a full grown feeder or 2 sm. feeders, once a week. My biggest snake gets a weanling rat every ten days. I would suggest the Munson plan but without weights it would be hard. hope this helps, susang

would petco be good for just testing out how big she can eat before buying in bulk?

while a 2 year old snake should be able to eat a feeder mouse, you can't just jump from fuzzie to feeder. I don't shop at Petco so I have no idea what they have. Try a Mom and Pop store, starting with hoppers/ weanlings and move up. I raise my own mice so I'm not familiar with the on-line mice either. I just wouldn't buy in bulk now wait until your snake is up to feeders.

If the snake is small for a 2 year old, ignore its age and go by this rule - Give it a food item that is 1 1/2 times the girth of the snake. There really isn't any rule this age should eat this size because the snake may have been kept on a maintenance diet, it will catch up eventually but you will do more harm than good trying to rush its growth because you think it should already be a certain size. Without a picture and weight it is simply not possible to say what size it should be eating.
I have an 06 snake that you would think was 07 to look at... He was small when I got him. I'm letting him grow at his own rate.

You need to get a digital scale that shows grams. One that will zero out the container weight is best but not necessary. I got mine from Walmart. The amount you feed is generally based on their weight. My one and a half year old is eating (or will be after i get my mouse delivery) 1 weaned every week.

At 85 grams I'd feed her a hopper every five or six days for a bit. Then move her up to weaned once a week.

will she start to grow once i move her up to the hoppers-weanling-and feeders?
also, how long should i stay at each interval to make sure i am not going to fast?

The Munson Plan:

-Single pinks (2-3g) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (24-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+)
-Jumbo Adults (40-50g) every 7-x days (Snake = 400g+)
