So Samson always hides. All day he's been laying in one spot on his cage and not hiding. He seems just fine when I touch him. Could he just be deciding he wants to hang out of the hides for now? I know he's a few days behind in feeding but I'm fixing that tomorrow.
Temps and everything are fine.

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid.

As long as he is acting normal otherwise, I wouldn't be worried. Is he all stretched out or curled up? Sometimes they curl up outside their hides (they think they're hidden).

That's what he is doing. I'm sure he is fine just this is new for him.

He TOTALLY thinks he is perfectly hidden! Nothing to worry about at all. They love to squeeze themselves into little spaces. I'd only be worried if he was all sprawled out in the open.
 
he's just acting like a snake. Mine does that all the time.

I think they "Hide" because it's their best defense from predators. But if they've got nothing to fear, then why hide? Right?

My snake when he was new hid all the time. Now he goes in one of his hides after he eats, but otherwise he likes to come out and see what I'm doing.
