s'more eggs

I thought I'd share some new egg pictures. Both of these clutches were laid last week. Some of you might remember the first picture...this is my normal brooksville locality. This femal was notbred this year due to a persistent RI. She laid 20 eggs though. Most are visably infertile as you can see, but several appear to be just fine. It's entirely probable that she was bred last year...so, the question is: in cases of sperm retention, is fertility ofd eggs usually reduced, or is it more of an all or nothing?

The second photo is the result of my ghost pair. She's a big girl who got huge with eggs. As such, she laid 26 sizeable eggs.

Mike,

With sperm retention, I believe it is common for a lot of the eggs to be infertile. I have seen that when a couple of mine have retained sperm.

That is one GORGEOUS ghost you have there! Congrats on the eggs!

WOW, that ghost must be thrilled to have all of those out of her. She sure is a nice looking girl. :)
