Snake Feeding & Shedding Chart

LoveHolic

Ultra Maniac!
Hey there guys, I used to keep a little notebook to record this information down. But it's getting a little messy and somebody recently scribbled over all my info in my household. I was looking online to see a pre-made chart that contains slots for recording both feeds and sheds. So far I don't like any of the ones I see. Can you guys post or suggest some charts I may be interested in using for my babies?

I use a simple Excel spreadsheet. There are some nice professional programs out there (iHerp, Degei), but I've found this to be very quick and easy.

As you can see, I have the snakes' names to the left, and all the days in the month along the top. I simply put an "x" in the box on the day that particular animal ate. If it refuses, I'll put an "R" in the box, and an "S" for shed. I can see all animals at a glance, as I keep a paper copy on a clipboard in my snake room, and one on my computer. Plain and simple, but it works for me.

I like iHerp! But it's also nice for recording other things like weight and length, if you're interested in that.

I use an OpenOffice spreadsheet and just keep it on the desktop. It's just like Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet, if you have MS Office. If you don't have either, you could use a Google spreadsheet and do it free online (probably print it off occasionally).

But I have three snakes, so three columns. For any event (meal, shed, etc), I put the date and what they did. A spreadsheet can be as simple or detailed as you want it.

It works for me. For now...

iherp is the best thing EVER!! it is so easy to use and you can put in batch feedings and it has lots of neat applications other than feeding, etc.
