Snake Got Away!!!

My friends cage was left open for about a day and a half. I left it open but he didn't check it for that long. So we are both resposible (mostly me though)

Anyway He had 2 big corns (about 3 ft long) one was found about a day after it got away and the other is nowhere to be found. It is pretty nice outside, could he have gotten out? My friends house has alot of holes and mice... So we know it couldnt have starved. And I don't think little mice could overpower the 3ft long giant that is his snake.

This snake has gotten out about 4 other times, and he has always been found with a big lump. . . :D

I went over to look (about 2 weeks ago) and we couldnt find anything. We wanted to try the "put flour on the floor to see where the snakes going trick" but his parents didn't want flour everywhere. Then we decided to get a 20 ounce pop bottle and cut it in half to make the trap thing, and put a mouse in the thing... Yet again they didn't want that. So is there anything else we can do. The only time my friend ever looks is when I'm over. And I don't thin he really cares. But could someone just give me a few more ideas?

Sure, it could get outside. But why would it if there's mice in the house? Sounds like nobody over there cares if the snake is loose. And it might actually do them some good and get rid of some mice. Wait till it shows up I guess. lol.

If his parents are against making a trap for the snake, your hands are tied. All you can do is look for it.

Would it matter if your friend didn't check the cage for 1.5 days, had you not left it open? You know its not his fault. :spinner:

Accidents happen, we know you didn't MEAN to leave the lid off. It's great that you're trying to correct the mistake by helping them look for it. But I agree that if they're not open to any of the ways of tracking him or finding him, that's their call. If the snake has all that food readily available, he'll be fine. They'll probably find him in the middle of the night during a bathroom run. Hopefully it's not a half-awake mom who accidentally sits down on him!
