Snake hiding in PSU

where is that? I have never seen that snake before and im pretty well aquanited with US reptiles ( though it is prolloy and the US and i will just look like an arrogant donkey) and i have never seen one like that.
 
My guess, judging from the pics and the url, is that it's Australian. The voltage listed on the computer is 230VAC, and the page is on the University of Queensland site.
 
I don't like snakes to die, that's such a sad picture, the one that's just hanging lifeless
