SNAKE LOST PLEASE HELP

I am extremely devastated to say that my 1.5 year old corn, Pretzel, seems to have vanished!! I went to go feed her today and she was not in her tank. There is a fairly small hole in the mesh at the top of her tank which I have been keeping covered until I could fix it, but that seems to be the only plausible explanation for her getting out, as there is absolutely no other way.
The last time I checked on her was Wednesday night (4 days ago) as I was away and just came back now. I have been turning over the entire top floor of my house for 3 hours now and there is no sign of her and I am so upset because I really have no idea what to do next or where to look (i've double checked everything multiple times).
I am a new owner so this has never happened to me before and I am extremely worried. I move out of this current house in a week so I am doing plenty of moving things around and am terrified that I will hurt her. Any information on ways to find or 'catch' her would be so greatly appreciated because I am completely freaking out right now and I don't want to do anything until I find her.
Thank you in advance.

Look at night and maybe try putting out a f/t mouse out to see if it is around they usually move a little slower after they eat

You can try to find a minnow trap to put a mouse in

I would put it up next to a wall so the snake crawling along the wall will find it and go inside. I hope this helps.

I put out a thawed mouse last night but no one has touched it, I think the smell is probably gone now so i'll try another one, thank you

Look around heat sources
Like tv, refrigerator, anything that might give out heat
The couch I found one inside a couch once
I had three of my baby redtails get out once my wife at the time said that I was crazy and that I miss counted but they were all together behind the cage I didn't find them for like 3 hrs I tore my snake room all up looking

that's nice to hear thanks! I have her tank on the second floor of my house, farthest from the stairs so I'm guessing (and hoping!!!) that she hasn't gotten down the stairs somehow, but I have no idea how long she's been out, between 1-4 days. Do you think it's possible she could have gone down the stairs to explore more? or perhaps fallen down the stairs?? ;(

I lost a corn that was on loan once, as he pushed up the tank top even though I had a small brick on each corner. I called the owner and he told me to look at the lowest level of my house, as the snakes will follow the walls and go down, rather than up. I found him coiled up around the leg of a small table in my basement. He also suggested that I sprinkle flour lightly along the walls so that if the snake moves around I'll know where he has been hiding. You can also put shoes or boots along the walls on their sides to create hiding spots he may use. Check any appliances, like washers, dryers, or hot water tanks too. Good luck.

yes I would love to use the flower, great idea but I have a cat as well who would probably just roll in it! I'm in the process of moving right now which is making things a bit more difficult, as I had to unpack everything to see if she was in any boxes! But hopefully when the house is empty I will find her, thank you for all your help, l will keep you guys updated!

I sold an adult Butter male last month and since the buyer was driving a long distance I met her at an exit off the expressway. I told her she need not bring a container, as I had a small shipping box. She paid me and was about to leave but I told her she should check him out first and make sure she liked him. When we opened the box it was empty. I tore my car apart and called my wife to search all over the house. I was only gone from home for 20 minutes and couldn't believe the corn was gone. I searched the car again and finally saw his head sticking out of a small hole in the floor mat under the driver's seat. In that short time he found a place to hide. I'm sure the buyer was wondering what kind of scam I was running until I found him.

I'm so sorry that Pretzel is missing. I can't offer more than has been already suggested. Just wanted to add my moral support and good wishes.

SHE'S BACK!!! About 30 minutes ago my brother (who is afraid of snakes!) screamed down to me "I GOT HER"!!!!! He found my cat pawing at a bag and when he lifted it up, she was in the bottom!! She is fairly scared right now, as expected but I've just fed her and she ate well, I'll give her some time to relax. I have also fixed the top and added another layer of mesh so there no way should can get out now!

I'm so glad. Be sure not to disturb her. The regurge risk is high since she's probably unsettled. I'd give her 4 to 5 days without any handling and minimal disturbance to check on her welfare. A quick peak in her hide is okay.

Definitely, thank you for the advice!

I'm so glad your missing Corn story had a happy ending. It's funny that your brother is afraid of snakes, but was excited that he found her anyway. Hope you gave him a big hug.
