Quite a few people are going to say this, so I'll go ahead and be the first.
Introducing your snake to your dog is NOT a good idea. You're very lucky your dog didn't try to snap him/her up. All animals are unpredictable at best, and you really put your snakes life on the line by doing that.

I would not do that...even if you really know your dog and trust your dog it will only lead to your snake being stressed out because it thinks that dog is going to eat him!! I don't even handle my snake after petting my dog, I always wash my hands.

in my house the snakes are bigger than my dog ... I am more worried about the dog's well being than the snake's ... hahahaha Cute pic tho ... And I am glad you didn't get the too close ;)

Funny picture, the dogs like huh? I've got a almost 8 yr old Cairn Terrier ,Banjo, and a 5 month old Boston Terrier, Molly. I'd never let the Molly in the smae room as Citrus, the corn, because bets are she'd chew her up just like everything else, including my girlfriend's xmas present! But Banjo I trust, in all honestly he doesn't even care about the snake, hes more of a rodent dog and hates my moms hamster. i can have him in my room with Citrus and not worry about him as long as I'm watching. He's very well trained and i can put a plate of ffod on the floor tell him not leave the room and not worry about it. citrus really doesn't care for him either so I'm not worried about her stressing. I'd never leave him alone with Citrus of course and i never let them get to close to each other but I think when it comes to dogs and snakes it all depends on the dogs and snakes personality, breed, age, and how well the dog is trained. I know people will disagree with what i said but it is my personal onpinion.

Haha thats funny. My dogs a coward lol. She was very scared of the snake and when she started to come close I just told her no and she backed off. But yea, shes a pretty well trained dog.
