Snake Oil Allergies?

:shrugs: I need a little help please...
I used a snake oil, "Nature Zone Snake Oil & Reptile Polish", its made out of safflower oil, sweet almond oil, wheat germ oil, avacado oil, tea tree oil, and neem oil. You can either use it for cuts, mites, bites, or as a protective barrior for the mites and such, ... Anyway, I use it every once and a while on all my other snakes, and they have no problem with it. A week ago I used it on my Kistache, my newest member and the next day it looked like his scales were shedding individually. I took him into my local reptile shop owner and he said that it was more then likely the oil, that his body did not have a good reaction to it... He gently rubbed a few away and said that he would be fine, just to give him a bath with warm water and not to use this on him again... Was it the oil or did he not finish shedding??? Is he O.K. to be put with my other 0.1 snow to breed? He looks O.K. now, but I dont want her to get sick if he is actually sick and it wasnt the oil??? :shrugs:

Sorry, never hear of the stuff. But heard of something familiarly being sold. My question is ..What are you using it for? Did you use it only to polish your Kistache? I know you stated that it also a protective barrier for mites, cut and bits but I would think that if it harm one snake it's not good for the other nine snakes. And do like the store said but I wouldn’t but it with the snow yet until this is over. I use neoprene for cuts and scrapes and found it shines the shin up too. But for the shed, was the snake in blue?? What time was the next shed comming. Hard to help without pictures.

Good Luck
