Snakes eyes

Hi guys, I've noticed this a couple times now but my snow corn seems to have a black circle in both of his eyes. I've tried to get a picture of it but neither of my cameras can't pick it up as he's too small.

I have noticed that with my amel and my butter, too. They shouldn't have black pigment (hence a-melanism), but mine have darkish rings around their pupils.

Here's a picture of my butter. Is this what yours has?

Yeah that's exactly it but it was around the whole pupil. Does it show on yours all the time?
Snows are meant to be albino so I thought they'd have no black pigment, I could be wrong though.

Yes, it shows on mine all the time. It also is clearly attached to the pupil dilation/contraction mechanism as you can see in this picture:

And on mine, it goes all the way around the pupil, but it kind of flares out in the one area. It does not appear to be hindering my snakes at all, and of my three pigment-lacking snakes, only two have this - the third one does not.

I wish I actually had an answer for you, because I've been wondering about this too! Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Glad it's not just me then. I'm gonna safely assume that there's nothing wrong with em and that it's normal if two of yours and mine has it. Still I'd like to know why they have this.
