Sticking To The Ceiling

Down the hatch! Nom nom nom.

Above shot of how dark she is on top.

dscn2787u.jpg

GREAT head shot, shows the veins in her eyes. Also shows decently well how dark she is up on top and light on the bottom, and the white/light orange on her mouth/head.

Another decent body shot with a standard q-tip for size.

Here some more pictures I took a few days ago.

dscn2721y.jpg

Super pink. X) This is her really fired down colors.

LOOK AT THAT EYE

dscn2729y.jpg

Shows how red and orange she is when fired up.

dscn2735y.jpg

Pretty close to true colors here.

And then she jumped onto my chest. xD

Compare this to the first picture.

Wow! Thats a very nice gecko! So do they change their color according to their mood? Or time of day?
Once again, very pretty.

What a handsome little fellow. Thanks for all those photos and descriptions - it's fascinating seeing all the different colour stages. Them eating their shed is definitely going to be something to get used.

I'm honestly not sure why gargoyle and crested geckos change their color. Felix tends to fire up with activity and fire down to the pink when she sleeps.

Love love love the pics! I have yet to see a pic of my girl fired up (weather has been to nasty to have her shipped). I didn't know they ate their sheds like my daughters leo.

I actually tugged most of my girl's shed off because I'd spooked her and it didn't look like it'd come off very easily, so I took it and what I found on her hideout on the very top level, and about half an hour I came back into my room (though I kept the light on) and saw her nomming on it. I actually wasn't sure if gargs ate their shed, but apparently they do!

Just make sure all the shed is off her little toes. When one of mine was really small I missed a tiny piece of shed ringed around the base of the nail and she ended up losing the nail and very tip of the toe, though the sticky pad is still good to go.

I made sure of that. I'm pretty anal about checking animals after sheds since toe/tail loss from stuck shed is so preventable...

Anyway, Felix felt like posing on her desert plant the other night, so moar pictures!

She took "dive in" seriously. LOL That is a cute picture. You have a great looking gargoyle. :)

Man, I've never seen a Rhac inhale CGD like that! Great pictures.
How many grams is Felix?

I have no idea, but she feels pretty nicely built. The next time I go out shopping I'll take a gander at what scales Walmart can give me.
