soaking corn snakes

I do not intend to breed my Corn and Eastern King snakes but would like to give them and me a winter break. I understand that I should stop feeding, maintain normal temperature for 2-3 weeks to clean out their digestive tract. I also thought I would soak them in warm water to insure they are cleaned out before gradually lowering the temperature to 50-60 degrees F. If I wish to soak them, what temperature(F) should the water be and for how long a time period?? Thanks much. Don

I wouldn't soak them. Not feeding for 3 weeks will ensure that they are clean enough. My snakes stress out excessively if soaked. I don't do it. How old are the snakes?

Soaking corn snakes

Thanks for your reply. Adult cornsnakes are approx. 2 yrs. Eastern king. one snake is about 2 years, the other about one year.

As long as they are a decent weight, somewhere around 300 grams and over, I wouldn't worry about it. They'll do fine. Just have some water there...although I don't think mine move at all. I just clean it and refill every week.
