The substrate is a type of pellets made out of compressed paper. It works great, literally no dust, easy cleaning and it is cheap as well. I´ve been using it for all my snakes for almost a year now, and I´m really happy with it. I even use it for my small/hatchling corns, and they seem to love burrowing into the stuff.

Beautiful combo- all gorgeous but that stripe really catches my eye!

I know a breeder who keeps all his feeders on those compressed pellets- great absorption and it also gives them something to chew on so their hab isn't destroyed by the larger numbers of mice in the tubs. . . cool stuff, really.
