i am getting a snake hopefully in the next month. I am going to be getting a hatching if i get lucky.
i am very excited.
i was also wondering if i should just use paper towls to start off with for substrate or go for the aspen bedding.
please give me some advice.
i will also be setting him/her up in a 10 gallon tank.
with lots of hiding spots so that way they wont get as stressed due to the new conditions. plus then the tank wont look as big.

all advice is welcome!!!

Aspen is preferred, especially for snakes that like to burrow/tunnel, but paper towel is just fine. Which morph(s) are you looking at getting? :)

Many people prefer paper towel for hatchlings, because otherwise it can be very difficult to find their tiny poops, and monitoring poops is a great way to make sure digestion is going well. Aspen is fine, though - I keep all mine on aspen and they definitely enjoy borrowing.

Do you have a morph picked out? Where are you looking to buy from?
