my female have mate but sinse she mated she has stopped eating this is normal? she mated 12 days ago is very soon to stop eating? her weight is 450 grms

yes i know but the problem is that since the day she mated, wich was the 4th of this month, april, she stopped eating. she didn't take any food since the 5th of april, wich was her feeding day. is it normal to stop eating that soon? i thought she would only stop eating as she was getting ready to lay the eggs, not this soon. none of my snakes has ever stopped so soon, that´s why i was getting a little worried. do you still think it's normal?

another question by the way, since i already have an open topic:
I´ve got another female that mated on march 2nd, 10th and 16th. it´s been 47 days since the first time she mated. she's still active, has stopped eating, but there's still no prelay shed nor eggs. is it ok? i just think it's been too long. what do you guys think?
thanks

Snakes can go for a good period of time without eating. My male went 7 months last year and he bounced back quickly. I would try again on the next regular feeding day. She may bounce out of it or wait till after she lays. I think your fine.

If your really worried, go back to the basics. Check the viv temps, the water, etc.

I think she is fine too. Snakes are not going to follow the manual or the rules. Each one has their own and will throw you for a loop if your worry about it.

I would just prepare like you are expecting eggs. Maybe even get the lay box inside and keep an eye on her. I have heard of girls laying before, during and after they shed. So :shrugs:

Good Luck!
