nice viv your snake will have fun clambering through that i miss the nice look vivs but not the pain in the butt to clean they were! and lmao @ 'proper bo'

Wow, looks great, very creative.

How did you go about building it in your wall?? Did ya cut a piece out, or was there already some sort of opening there? Ya you weren't looking for replys, but your creation is pretty unique and has sparked my interest. I always thought it'd be kind of cool to have vivs as a wall... like you can see through them into the next room. It'd probably be more decrotive with fish or something though.
kay enough rambling.

thanks for the good comments everyone.

I have the attic room in my house so the ceiling is slanted, and then there is a small amount of vertical wall as you can see in the pic. There was a large alcove in one part of the room so i simply built a stand to the right size and fit it in...so its really just on a stand but still looks pretty good. that make sense!? Just got the lucky room in my house i guess :)

hey shotty, maybe i missed it..but what type of corn are you putting in that tank....or should i say that sweet ass tank :grin01: ...thats my jealous face..haha

Sick, in a good way

The setup is bad ass! Cool name for your snake as well..

Haha, do I see a marijuana leaf.. I only wish

Nice job Shotty. Is your Viv made from wood/plywood type. Then reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking of building my own and wondering how to heat it? Uth or flex tape. I Have an "open closet" now with shelfs but I want to build two Viv and try to make it look like yours but more up and down than side ways.

Excellent set up .... damn good job.

Viv looks like a hobbyist one to me. I have two of them as well. I side mount my UTH's inside them. Not the most orthodox method I'll grant you but my snakes are all healthy and happy so I've stuck with my method. :)

Hi,
I bought the viv flat packed from...
http://www.urmstonaquatics.com/woodvivs.html I think its made of something called "melamine" described as " A brand of low pressure laminate" on google definitions...although to me its just laminated wood :) I also sealed all the internal joints with an aquarium sealent after I assembled it to prevent moisture ingress. For heating i use an UTH under the substrate and monitor heat with a habistat thermostat to stop overheating. Hope this has helped...
