Source for frozen feeders

Lurking around the corner
I was wondering where everyone gets their frozen mice/rats from. I know the mouse factory is popular, but does anyone get theirs from a different source?

While browsing the internet I found peticebox.com. They have pretty good prices and the bag sizes are more of what I'll be looking for, plus shipping is only $28.50 for all 48 states on all orders up to $200. Has anyone here used them?

Also, how long will frozen mice last in the freezer....

I've kept vacuumed sealed rodents in my freezer for 2 years with no ill effects.

I've used and recommend both RodentPro.com and AmericanRodent.com. I've had zero issues with either.

Eek.... that looked pretty bad.

How much is shipping from TMF? That's really my main concern with them. I don't doubt the quality at all...

It depends on where you live and how much you order. Give Edna a call, she's super nice and will be able to give you a quote.

Mouse Factory has combination deals, too. 50 pinks and 50 fuzzies is $60, 50 fuzzies and 50 hoppers is $70.75, shipping included. 100 mice at 60 or 70 cents is way better than the snake store can do...

peticebox.com seems to be almost "twice" the price they should be, so it looks like you PAY for the lower shipping charges. :( . If you want cheap shipping, look to ARS. The quality and consistency is horrible, but the prices and shipping charges (if any) reflect that.......lol. TMF is OK, but they are not my first choice for buying rodents from, but that's neither hear nor there.

Pinks last a few months if in a good, sealed, bag. Longer if your freezer is not the frost-free variety. Those freezers are the work of witches, anyway. Mice with hair can go much longer. You lose a little of the nutritional value the longer they are frozen, so don't go crazy (consider ~6-12 months a working limit) and you will be FINE.
