stackable housing

ok well i have a small problem, i got a bloodred about 3 months ago or so and now my gf wants a snake of her own. well i dont have room to have multiple tanks so i am trying to find a nice stackable system that looks nice as well as pracital, which basicly means it cant be very pricey. i know a lot of ppl use clear rubber maid type containers and put them on a shelf but i want something that looks nicer than that and lets me view all the snakes without pulling them out of the cage. i found a few stackable ones online like at showcasecages.com but they are kinda priced out of my budget and i dont know how much i like glass that slides, thinking the corn might be able to squeese his way through the two pieces.any ideas? i want to have something nice size because my girlfriend wants a ball python and i want my corn to have a big living area so he has plenty of room and then some. i am able to build my own but i would like to see some that have been made to get some ideas and to see how they look. thanks for the help.

I don't have any help with self-built stacks, but I sure like the rack I got from Reptile Basics. It's not really a display though.

What about a double aquarium stand? I don't think this type is too hard to find:

I got this at the local Target fairly cheaply. I did get the narrow one and will probably need to go wider when these guys are ready to move into a bigger tank. Cheap curtains are around it. Top shelf has my reptile-related books and the bottom shelf has some spare supplies and reptile-related junk :)

How handy are you?

The hard thing with stacking aquarium type enclosures is that you can't access the lid. If you can put the aquarium on some kind of sliding shelf, then you don't need to leave all that space between them. Petco pet stores have their animals in some really nice set ups if you wanted to look for ideas.

i guess i am just overthinking it, might just go with a bookshelf but make one with sliders so i can pull the tanks out to access the top.

heres what i have, its 40 bucks comes with 5 level stack them anyway you like. i used 4 of them holds 20 long tanks perfectly. the other thing on the left side. does work. but If you do choose to buy one the tanks do fit on the bottom but if your lid goes over the sides of the tank it will not fit. you need a cage top tank lock that is no bigger then the top of your tank. its a very tight fit. good luck
