Sticking To The Ceiling
So for my avatar and my new forum's logo, I used a style of art I've sort of created for a non specific look that I find very pleasing.
What I do is I open MS Paint, then draw a bunch of lines. I'll then zoom in to clean them up. I don't erase them at any point as blurring them makes them disappear.
Then I double click a color, click Define Custom Colors, and pick random colors. For this banner, I picked mostly darker colors.
Then I opened an art program, usually PhotoFiltre, but this time I used Corel Painter 11's Photo >> Blur tool at 100% strength.
Then I picked the color pure white, selected the Art Pen Brushes >> Grainy Calligraphy brush at 8.8 size, broke out the tablet (which now wants to work
), and hand wrote the forum name.
Just felt like sharing. I discovered this a few years ago, and because of the simplicity, ease of creating, and the appealing nature to the eye, I've used it again and again.
