Strange stamp mates

DollysMom

It never gets old!
I got my "Pets" stamps from USPS today It's great that they are celebrating pets and have included a number of herps, including our beloved corn snake. As I was looking at the stamps I noticed this:

Anyone else see it? No, it's not that the snake is scaleless. That's fine and celebrates that corn snakes come in many morphs. Look at what that snake is looking at. My apologies on behalf of USPS to pet mouse owners everywhere. Then again, the relative sizes are against the snake in this case, lol.

That's hilarious! That would be a strange match, monster mouse against what appears to be a juvie CS.

Very cool stamps though

I was looking at these pet pictures from the US Post Office and noticed something else. Where did they get this pic of a male betta? I've kept male bettas before and I've never seen one that looked like it got it's tail fin stuck in a wall socket! The other pic here is one I'd consider normal and very pretty. Who was in charge of photo selection for this?

Whatever kind of betta it is it is pretty pitiful looking especially with all the excellent examples to choose from!

I stopped selling male bettas because it turn out most were going to be fighters in illegal gambling rings :(
