stuck "In Blue"

Hi all, My corn has been in her blue phase for around 5 days now. She has always only been in blue for about 2 days, than cleared up and shed on the fourth day. It is probably nothing to worry about, just seems a bit odd. temps and humidity are same as always, just curious.

4 days to shed seems oddly fast to me. Sometimes it takes my adults 9 - 11 days. Other times it takes around 7 days. I find that feeding them just as they come out of blue helps stretch the skin around the head and neck area and it encourages them to shed either that day or the next.

I keep records on my animals, So I know when things seem out of wack! Does an adults blue phase tend to last longer than a juvi? Mine is about 11 months old now.

Hmmm...all of my snakes average 10 days in blue. I do have an MBK that typically takes 18 days, and a BP that takes about 15, but on average...10 days.

thats wild, Just looked at my notes and my bp takes 4 or five days from blue to complete shed. My corn was always 4 days, and my gopher is also 4 days.

Yeah theres the height of blue, then clearing. That usually takes 4 - 5 days. But all in all, from starting to go blue (you can always see it on their bellies first) to deep in blue, then clearing it takes about 7 - 11 days.

Mine stay in blue around ten days, but sometimes especially with the normals I may not notice immediatly. With my amels and creamsicle no doubt when they start.

I think the people who report shorter shed cycles are actually missing the first third or so. I totally missed Lila last time, and she'd been out to be weighed, watch TV and for a meal, and then two days later- there's a shed!!

Yea, that's gotta be the case. I notice my snakes going blue LONG before they actually get opaque. It starts in the belly, most of the time, and has never taken any of my snakes less than 8 days from start to finish.
