Stuck shed on head?

Okk so I came back from camping and my snake left me a little surprise! He shedded for the first time since i've had him. yaaay.
But there's a peice stuck on his head.
Like, behind his eyes and kind of on his neck.
Now I was gone for 3 days and my parents who checked on my snake didn't do anything about the stuck shed... but they don't know anything about snakes so i don't blame them.
So it's been on there for like 2 ish days.
:l

ANYWAYS.

How do I get it off? it's right on his head :l
I let him crawl around in a damp pillow case but that didn't work.

And I'm pretty sure it's not on the eyes.
But how can I tell to be sure? it looks like the stuck peice kinda starts right behind his eyes. And I cant find the peice with his eyes/nose on it.

The rest is in one peice.

So yeah, how do I get it off?

:) thanks~

Well you can put him in a small container with wet moss and leave him locked in it overnight. Or you can let him wiggle through a warm moist towel while you hold him. Or you can make sure his current humid hide is moist enough. Give those a try first. They are the most gentle and best route to go.

you can do as above or you could even get a small piece of duct tape stick it on there and gentally pull it off.It dosent harm the snake if you are carefuly. also works on eye caps!

Put him/her somewhere moist and it should come off, if not visit a doctor that specializes in reptiles.

You shouldn't need to consult a vet about one bad shed. It's very easily sorted at home.

The only time to worry is if eye caps or tip of the tail aren't shed. Even then, I usually find with tail tips that they come off with the next shed when repeated soaking doesn't help immediately.

Seriously?

Applying duct tape to a snake sounds like a really bad idea to me. I wouldn't want to risk the tape pulling scales loose or worse, tearing the skin. Especially right after a shed when the skin is tender.

Totally Agree! Not Cool, it is almost like putting Duct tape on your lips to get lip stick off! It hurts and sometimes grabs skin and bleeds! OUCH!
