She was supposed to help me study bioluminescence...it's no surprise she was no great help, but she sure looks cute.

Cool snake. Why would anyone wanna study bioluminluminescencenes??? :grin01:
Because it's a fascinating subject?

Sweet study partner you have there!

Thanks for all the responses!
Why study bioluminescence? Because it's in the course syllabus? Ok, maybe it's scientifically significant too, and I'll admit it was an interesting subject. Wish I had Chimera (the pretty girl above) there to help me with the exam today, she'd probably do as well as or better than I did. :awcrap:

What is bioluminescence? I acually does sound pretty cool, I love science so what exactly are you studying?

It's light that's produced via biochemical reactions in an organism. So think fireflies, deep sea fish, and glowing jelly fish. The course was one on evolutionary and environmental physiology and covered everything from thermogregulation to eye proteins (I never did figure out how the Professor was picking the order of the topics in class). Another forum member was actually in the class too (feel free to jump in Zwyatt). Bioluminescence is actually a pretty nifty adaptation, you're welcome to PM me if you want some neat links.

Sounds pretty neat, i still don't what I want to do when I grow up. Something with animals probably. Ohh and I didn't want to be mean in my first post, know that I know what it means i think its pretty cool.
