Hey, I've had my baby bloodred for about two weeks now. I started using wood shavings as a substrate, but am going to switch to forest-bed or something similar. I just like the look of it better. Anyways my question is, when would be an ideal time to change it out so that she doesn't get too stressed out. Tonight is her normal feeding night. Should I wait until she has finished digestion in a couple of days or should I just switch it out when I have her out feeding? Thanks a lot.
I will post pics of her when I finalize a name for her(yes I know it has been 2 weeks but I want to be sure)

I dont think that it really matters, but to be safe I'd wait until after she's had a few days to digest.
 
Yeh i wait till 4 days after feeding to change substrate, then give the snake 3 days to settle on the new sibstrate.
 
Thanks for the replies jeojr and cornman, I will feed the snake tonight and change it Friday or Saturday. I have found this site very useful in getting started. You guys are great!

Theirs nothing better then sharing advice and tip's Phen.
When i first started most thing i had to learn for myself so it's good to have a place like this, which didn't exsist in feb 1995 when i got my first snake.
