what substrate do you use for your corns? I was coonsidering dirt since i always have a ton of it because its what i keep my red foot tortoise on

I use shredded paper because we have a ton of it.
I haven't heard of anyone using dirt, but I know that sand is not good.

I use Cypress mulch that I get from a reptile shop that I've bought a lot of my snakes from. If that source went away, though, I would probably switch to aspen, which is what most people use.

Newspaper , and I also use a simple non scented baby wipe to clean up any accidental mess . Very cheap , If I were to go with looks , it would be sani chips :D

Do use:
Aspen
Newspaper
Paper towels
Cypress mulch
Astro turf (Super hard to clean you might not want that and snakes want to burrow so I guess you shouldn't use this at all... Mabe in a feeding tank?)

Never use:
Dirt
Sand
Pine shavings
Cedar shaving (They have wood oil that harm the snake)
No substrate
Anything that might have some pesticides or other chemicals
Anything that you find outside (unless you sterilize it)

(These are all I could come up with at the moment. There are probably more. But the one I recommend is Aspen Bedding.)
