Actually, from that pic. it dosen't LOOK Motley or Sunkissed. Maybe a full body shot and closer pic. of the head once it's out the egg will help....:shrugs:

Walter,
:crazy02: BOUT' CORNS !!

I agree on the motley part, it doesn't look motley at all... But it doesn't look like a normal anery either... I'm quite convinced it is an anery sunkissed.

Yesterday he was half out of the egg, and the belly was white as far as I could see it, today he got back in his eggshell, I guess he likes it in there ;)

The caramelsunkissedmotley Charles Pritzel bred (2 years ago I believe?) didn't look motley either, I believe it has something to do with the sunkissed-motley combination...

Sunkissed motleys don't look like regular motleys at all (Jeff Mohr just posted a photo of a lovely Sunkissed motley as an example). If the head has the distinctive Sunkissed look and a typical motley belly, I would call it a Sunkissed anery motley.

The parents came from Joe Pierce, his sunkissed lines have very different headpatterns, I also obtained a sunkissed male from Joe, definately showing the sunkissed pattern, but with a quite normal headpattern, looking just the same as this one's headpattern.

I think you have to agree on this one showing a sunkissed pattern, it's head has a quite normal pattern... I think I will have to wait for the first shed

okay, full body shot and a partly ventral shot...

I'd say it's sunkissed motley, no motley pattern, sunkissed looks and a plain belly is normal on the sunkissed motleys. the headpattern could be a result of the Joe Pierce line this snake's grandfather is also the father of another sunkissed I bought from Joe, I will post pictures in this topic later...

Much better pic. now that looks more like a Sunkissed Anery Motley. The first pic. is just hard to tell.
VERY NICE and Congrats !!

actually the odds were 3/256 ( the parents were quadruple hets)

I am very happy at this moment ;)

Thanks for all the nice comments :)

EXCELLENT!

Very, very nice Robin. That is definitely a Sunkissed Anery Motley. There have been a couple of us trying to nail this morph. Huge congratulations.

As Susan stated when Sunkissed and Motley are present in the animal they take on a different appearance then what is to be expected. We hatched out a pair of Sunkissed Motley last year and they are very od indeed. I believe Sunkissed is more of a pattern trait then a Hypomelanistic trait. I think the Hypo effect Sunkissed has is linked the same way the other pattern traits effect a Cornsnake, making the overall coloration brighter and crisper. I further believe that they are the exact opposite of one another. Motley tends to "stretch out" the overall pattern of the snake making it aberrant to what is the norm. Sunkissed tends to pull the pattern together and make it more orderly and precise. So when mixed together they have an odd effect on one another. Please understand this is just my opinion. Hope this makes sense.

Your snake looks very similar in coloration to the Sunkissed Anery we hatched this year as well. Yours seems to be alitte darker then ours and resembles the ones Rich Z. hatched out a couple years ago (un-benounced to the rest of the world  ) and with the lack of belly scales on that guy it is without a doubt a Motley. That is absolutely a Sunkissed Anery Motley. I can't wait to see it post shed. Again, huge congratulations on a great morph.
Jay

Thank you guys very much for your great replies!

Of course I will post post shed pictures as soon as the little guy has shed his skin... I'm very curious about the rest of the clutch, this one was the first to hatch out of 12 eggs... so 11 eggs to go...
