sushi?

Kilala

lemme go! I'm sleeping!
Ok, friend of a friend had a GREAT hatch-out from summer.. Now he's decided who to keep, and he's going to keep 12 of them. No idea what to name them. He wants a sushi-theme. but are there enough kinds of sushi? Can anyone help us out here? How many kinds of sushi are there and is there a web site on the subject?

If you Google "sushi" or "types of sushi" it should give him plenty of ideas.

If he does a sushi theme, he has to name one Wasabi!

come to think of it, it will be hard to get a sushi theme. Most rolls are just named after the stuff that's in them, so you would have to call them "Daikon maki" instead of just "Daikon" (which is raddish, maki means 'roll'). The word sushi itself means 'rice with stuff in it', not raw fish as most people think. You might have better luck if you include all the sushi accesories, like Nori (seaweed), gyoza (pot sticker), nigiri (the finger shaped sushi), yakisoba, sashimi (raw fish) or other Japanese foods.

Unagi is my fave!!

Me too! I usually have it for desert. Yellow tail and Toro tuna are awesome too. Oh and Albacore (when they grill it slightly and put the oniony sauce on top) Ok. I like all sushi- except the slimey/stinky stuff like monkfish liver and sea urchin eggs. Not a huge fan of those.

Sushi could spawn a great set of themed names though! Unfortunately, I don't know all the japanese names for most of what I eat, and "spider roll" is probably not a great snake name.
