scary as hell, and it only lived for a few hours. Stuff like that I find to be completely abhorrent.

The revival thing is actually biologically impossible the way the video describes. Lungs would dry out, inside and out, ceasing to inflate. Inflating them that much would also damage them. Blood the way they're showing would clot in under 10 minutes. The "head" was simply a heavily sedated dog shown at an odd angle. Not to mention that the dessication and heavy blood loss that would occur from minor arteries and veins as well as the loss of cerebral-spinal fluid that would kill the brain in short order.
 
I agree that it's not exactly possible even with today's science. Let along way back then. But is IT interesting to think about.
