This show just identified berms, african rock pythons, and reticulated pythons as venomous snakes in Florida. How are they allowed to spread such a blatent lie like this? Its just plain rediculous!

Exact quote as close as I can remember: "you dont have to go abroad to find a venomous and dangerous snake. In florida berms, african rock pythons, and reticulated pythons are reproducing st an alarming rate."

Then went on to describe a story about an owner of a reticulated python treating mouth rot by himself, losing control of the snake, and being killed by it. Never correcting their outrageous claim for the rest of the show.

Well with their constant pluging of the USHS, I'm really not surprised.

Sadly most people think that if it's on TV it must be true.

that's what i'm saying! if i was the typical ignorant american watching this show and they said that, i would forever think that those snakes are venomous and can and will kill if they get a chance! I really don't know how it's even legal to make a statement like they did.

You also said "Dangerous Snakes" which I would think that is what they are talking about when they are saying burms, etc. Not a venomous species. Just how I took the sentence in.

The use of the word "and" shows that they mean both venomous and dangerous together.

Anyway, think that's bad? Turn on Swamp People on the History channel. They think pulling a captured gator that can't move or fight out of the water and shooting it in the head is manly and dangerous. Phfff.

Ugh. So much hate for reptiles in the world . It's OK to make a video of somebody killing a lizard or frog, but if somebody makes a video of a Burmese python eating a rabbit, it's horrific animal cruelty.

i know. i really don't understand the basis for the hate either. i understand that people think a snake suffocating his prey is a little brutal but animals like lions, cheetahs, and leopards do the same thing and i don't see them getting any hatred like this. past that i really don't know why people seem to have this animosity for reptiles.

Facedesk= the act of slamming your head upon your desk, usually in a huge amount of irritably due to stupidity.

this was the cause of the facedesk lol...it never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people can be.

venomous and dangerous.... wild pythons are dangerous. the people of Miami-Dade venom One do not beleive and do not claim that pythons are venomous. I think you misunderstood them.

well they themselves may not believe that but the show "Swamp Wars" is who actually made the claim. what i mean is the announcer for the show is the one who said it. not the Venom One team. and while they twisted the words so that they were factual to say, as they were two different sentences, to anyone who knows nothing about snakes it would seem as they were claiming that burms, reticulated, and african rock pythons were both dangerous and venomous.

So here I was just creeping about a thread, WHEN SUDDENLY I saw freaking KINGSLEY, and I was all like AWWW YEAHHH!!!!

...

I am also upset over generally non-venomous, hardly-dangerous snakes and such being put into categories that they don't belong in... Kingsley just distracted me with his facedesk.

Someone who wears a hat like that and slams his head into a desk is well known?

Yeah, he's a YouTuber who's best known for his rants. I apologize for getting all fan girl there for a sec. If you like hearing dumb stuff get shut down, he's your guy. There's quite a bit of cussing involved, though. ;)
