Tail in first?

So I got my pair of snow hatchlings today and was told they skipped feeding yesterday in case they regurgitate in transport today... So I got home and fed them tiny little pinkies... The male ate fine but the female ate the pinkie tail first... Could this pose a problem?

With pinkies it is generally fine.

Are you just tossing the mice in and letting the snake pick an end? I feed with tongs and present the "Head" to the snake which the snake always grabs.

Usually the tail has broken off the pinky anyways once frozen. Yeah with pinkies either way is not an issue.

Thanks! And yes the female snatched it out of my hand then it fell and she took it from there... She was looking for the side where the head was but then just ate from the tail.

Mine did that a couple times as a hatchling. Once you start feeding them larger mice, it becomes more difficult (at least with my snake) to accidentally eat backwards because of the way the feet are pointing so it really won't happen or be a concern when they are bigger. And pinkies are so tiny and soft it should be alright.

I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye of her and let them settle in for a little without handling.
