Tail tip didn't shed

I have been searching the forum for a while looking for a relates thread but haven't found a very specific one to my problem. My snake shed yesterday and it all came off in one piece except the last half inch of the tail. I let my snake run through a damp towel and it all came off except for the extreme tip of the tail. I'm talking about a millimeter(roughly) of skin that I can't get to come off the tip of the tail. Is this a problem? Can I do anything besides raise the humidity?

Put a little mineral or vegatable oil on it.Let it soak for an hour or two and it should come off if you rub it a little or do it a few times and it may come off on it's own.

Or, put the snake in its feeding bin, with air temp water, not over the snake's head, with a washcloth on the bottom, and let soak for 20-30 minutes, then let the snake crawl through a warm washcloth, and see if the shed comes off, or if you can roll it off with your fingers. It's very important to get it off ASAP.

I just had my snake in a bath but it really didn't like it so it was only in it for 3-5 minutes. I have also let it run through a damp towel but the piece of skin is so small that it prolly cant really be pulled off by the towel. To be honest, at this point it is very hard to tell if the old skin is even there anymore. It looks like it could still be on but i don't see any rough edges of skin sticking up at all. Its only a 4-6 month old snake so you know how small their tail tips are.

If i just keep a moist towel in her hide and let her slide through a towel a few times a day do you think that would be a good way to be sure?

Put the oil on it and it will stay moist much longer than water.Do it a couple times and it will come off.

if the old skin encircles the whole tip then as it grows it could cut off circulation and kill the tail tip.

My adult male corn, bought as an adult, has a slightly stubby tail tip from a careless former owner.

yeah you do need to get that off of there. I have a rescue corn from a friend that has the tail tip shed still on and is cutting off the tail... not good.

I think i got a tiny bit more to come off the tip. However, there still seems to be a minuscule amount left on the end but i think it has a split in it so if it doesnt come off by itself or with my help in the next day or so, when my snake grows it will just pop off the tip (right).
