tale rattle?

She is rattling her tail because she is nervous. Even though she is bigger than a baby your still a lot bigger than her and you look dangerous. While this is something to notice don't be afraid. If she does it while you are opening her viv to take her out don't hesitate to pic her up, the more nervous you are the more nervous she is. She probably just isn't used to being held much, but that should change in your care ;)

We told him that is what he needs to do..pick her up and love on her...but he wanted to check with the "experts" on here to see if they said the same thing we did...and see you said the same thing..you expert you!

I have one tail rattler right now (Una) and she only does it while she's eating.

Open the tub, nothing.
Pick her up, nothing.
Put her in the deli, nothing.
Drop a mouse in the deli, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt!

And then it's nothing but bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt! until the mouse is gone, at which point, she's perfectly quiet again as I put her back in her tub. :shrugs: She's goofy like that.

I realize that's not very helpful, but really, you've already gotten the best advice from those who have posted before me. :) It's a "nervous" behavior, not an "aggressive" one. It just takes time for your snake to get familiar with you. :D

I'm reading a rattling tale right now...I don't usually do horror books but this one is excellent. :p
