Teeny tiny field herping in my flower pot.

I was moving some plants to larger pots and uprooted the cutest thing ever.
A sub-adult worm snake. Carphophis amoenus.

It tried to adorable my thumb to death. I could barely contain my giggles to take pictures.

I love those little guys! I used to find them all the time as a kid playing in the dirt.

I had so much fun letting it attempt to choke out my thumb. The little fella has been released to a safer, already re-potted, section of the flower beds.

That's the sweetest little thing. So cute I had to show my coworker across the room, who dutifully admired, but is probably just indulging the weird foreigner. ;) I particularly like the third pic that shows his/her delicate little face.

Oooooh, I love these guys. They are the cutest. Lucky you. I haven't had the pleasure of a worm snake's company in years.
