temp questions.

Ok, I'm setting up my new, larger tanks for my corns. They have been set up for a couple days now and I have the therostat probe and the thermometer probe ovr the center of the uth. I have also been using a temp gun to test the substrate (aspen) temp. I am usimg a hydrofarm thermostat. The top of the substrate only gets to about 77 degrees. It's only about two inches, maybe two and a half, of aspen. Do I raise the temps on the thermostat, take some of the aspen out? They all burrow now and then, the coral snow always does and the other two not quite as much. if I turn the temps up I dont want to burn them of they happen to burrow. I'll attach photos.... what should I do? Thanks in advance everyone!!

Here are temps from the highest tank.

I have mine set to click out at 86. They usually climb about one more degree before cooling back down. Don't worry about the substrate temps, they will burrow down if they want to. Every one of mine does. Never had a regurge, a burnt snake or an angry wrong-temperature snake.
