I can tell that it's a pretty snake. The substrate and background look great. I just think that the pic needs to be taken in natural sunlight in order for the true colors to really shine, otherwise, the pic looks too dark. But i'm no expert, so i can totally be off base.
 
Picture is too dark. Background is distracting. The snake gets lost in the image. Maybe lighter colored aspen and more green in your b/g.
