Texas - First big show of the year (Aug 28-29)

CAV

Dazed and Cornfused
If anyone is in the area, there's a show this weekend in Austin. This is shaping up to be one of the better shows of the year, with 40 vendors already scheduled to attend.

I'd love to drop by and meet all you folks, but it's just too far. My first show will be in Oct here in Hillsboro Oregon.

Good luck!

Why don't you take a camera along and get some picks of the tables and vendors (and get someone to snap a few of you too!). I'll do the same in Hillsboro.

Visting a show from the UK

If I wanted to come over to the US to see a reptile exhibition which would you consider to be the "must see show of the year"? I may visit next year.

I think most people would agree that Daytona is one of the largest vendor shows. If you want info on all things herp, the IHS meeting is by far the "who's who". The IHS changes locations every year. Last year it was in Houston, Texas. Kathy Love was a presenter. Here is a link:

Clint, there is a reason TX was a separate country. We are a rather ugly lot and my camera cost far too much to break taking photos of the Ruffians and Scallywags that inhabit the land of the Lone Star.

Actually that isn't a bad idea. I'll see what I can do.

I would say Daytona or one of the West coast IRBA shows in the US,

but if you wanted to go to a huge show I would suggest heading out for one of the massive German ones,

Skye

Thanks Guys!
A German show eh, that would also be interesting, do any of our German friends know of any? (sorry, I didn't mean to hijack a topic - I must stop doing that :eek1: )

I'm running around like a madman getting ready for tomorrow, so I'll mention this event one more time. If anyone can attend, please stop by and say howdy.
