So I was a little concerned today when I went to feed Jabba and Goblin, and Jabba just allowed me to pick him up, without fighting me at all. So alarmed, I almost sent a PM to Trevor, lefty_mussolini, to see what he thought. But I decided to try and feed him first to see if he had appetite. He did, and so I left him for 15 minutes in a tub of 20 small crickets while I scrubbed out the water dishes. When I came back, this is what I found... guess we know why poor Jabba was so lethargic earlier. :grin01:

How could a cricket that size induce a turd of that magnitude???

Man, your guess is as good as mine!! :shrugs: All he eats are crickets basically! From time to time I give small meal worms or red wiggler worms, but other than that he feeds mainly on small crickets, twice per week! :eek1:

I think this may be a Guinness record for relative turd size.

I think crickets produce a lot of excrement. You should have seen the green snake's viv after 20+ crickets! :eek1:

The Bowel Health of Jabba

When I first got him, he was producing normal-sized turds, similar in size to the horned frog I had had for a few months... say about 1/2" long??

Recently though, they have been getting longer and longer... I am soooooo glad that he did not deposit said turd ON MY HAND when I had him in my fist!! :puke01:

Mike... thanks for the perspective... I have been feeding him more of late, so perhaps this is just normal bowel increase?? :grin01:
