Hi.
Just a quick question:
Is the length of the old shedded skin equal to the length of the snake itself...? Or is it maybe so that the shedded skin is streched during shedding...?

Measured my males skin yesterday, 164 cm... :)

Thankful for answers...

sorry couldnt tell u , but im probably guesing that the skin would be the same lengh as the snake but u never know.:D

No,

the shed skin is longer than the snake because all the skin, including that which is folded up over and between the scales, is streched out.

Hello

Actually the shed from a snake is usally 1/3 longer then the snake itself. So if you take that into consideration you snake is appr. 109.2 cm long. I hope this helps...

wow

1/3th longer???thats a lot...
and not really true in my oppinion...the old skin is 110% in compessison too 100%...maybe a 120 %
but i always keep 110 % and when i get the change to messure the snake itself (when its not been eating or shedding) im always right...:)

I think I go for Mariskas theory, no way he´s only 110 cm.
That I now for sure...! :)
1.50 seems more correct...

Thanks for your answers, people!
