Amazing and awesome. Definitely some of the world's most beautiful snakes. Thanks for sharing them. I'll probably never see most of these in person.

AWESOME SNAKES!

Didja ever notice that the prettier a snake is, the more UNREAL it looks? Those snakes actually APPEAR to be fake in some of those pix! That's how gorgeous they are. But if they were in front of me I DOUBT I'd be duped into trying to touch 'em, THAT'S for DANG SURE!!

But then again, I've always been known to be a risk-taker!! (Got 485 jumps (freefall) and need 500 to even start BASE jumping (a YET for me!). And at 55 years of age! Just proves no one is ever too old (OR too CRAZY!) to try new things!!!)

:crazy02:

BTW, what the heck is a Naja sputatrix? (Sounds kinda kinky!!)

Ah I'm jealous. I'd love to get into diving, sadly I have waaaay to many expensive hobbies as is :(

Thank you for the kind words about these animals!

Naja sputatrix is the Indonesian spitting cobra. My male came from a never to be dealt with again local who didn't even know what kind he was. Super shady fella and I hopefully belittled him to the point he'll stay out of Najas let add lone hots in general. It looks to be a wild caught and has taken to ft mice but has on and off been fighting a mild mouth/gum infection. I'm holding off on any internal antibiotics unless it's the last possible b option and things go south. He's gotten alright with being tubbed so I can check on and clean as needed. So far things are sloooowly getting better.

That is so cool. I mean, you're completely insane, but those animals are breathtaking! ;) More pics!!

Do you keep anti-venom? Or does your local hospital maintain a supply? Such Beautiful snakes, but so unforgiving, is my thought. Thank you for the pictures.
